Fishing Small Streams turns one ! / Give away

Exactly one year ago today, I started "Fishing small streams".  Over the past year 50 followers have been added with over 6,000 page views.  When I started, I had no idea where all this was going but it’s been a lot of fun.  I hope the posts have entertained and provided some useful tips as well.  A special thanks to all those who regularly visit and leave comments.

If you leave a comment about what you most like about Fishing Small streams, I will select someone to send a dozen flies of your choice from those highlighted over the last year for you to give a try on your home waters.

Hope you all enjoy another year of fishing your favorite stream, small or otherwise.

  3. Congratulations on the milestone. Like Alan over at Small Stream Reflections, I have been following your blog since I entered the world of blogging almost a year ago. Even though my fishing trips run the gamut of different experiences the type of posts that you write about remind me of the type of fishing and settings I enjoy most (esp. the Adirondacks). Please keep up the good work and I, as well as others, look forward to the next year and beyond.

  5. Congrats. This blog thing has been a big boost to my own fishing habits as well.
Fishing small streams, ..... What's there not to like. Solitary escapes from traffic and modern noise, beautiful natural fish the way they were 100+ years ago, challenges at every run and ripple, cool water, nature enveloping smells and just plain fun!

  6. Congrats on your 1 year anniversary. I have enjoyed each post since I started following. I like being taken right there to a beautiful stream with rock formations everywhere. Thanks for sharing something that I wouldn't be able to experience other wise. Fishing small streams is a great thing to do. My absolute favorite thing every time I stop by is that picture of the Orange Hawkweed. Awesome. Look forward to what's next. Tight Lines.

  8. I read your blog for the first time today great pictures and fly tying tips. Congrats on your first year! My favorite things about small stream fishing is the scenery, being out hiking for the day, the peace and quiet that goes along with back country, the relaxing pursuit of those little rainbow and brookie jewels. Thanks for taking the time and keep up the good work!

  9. All

Thanks for the comments, constructive criticism is always welcome as well. Sometime at the end of the week, I'll give everyone who commented a number and choose a winner at random for the flies.

  10. Having started a blog this year, I can relate and rejoice in your milestone, Mark. What I love the most about fishing small streams is that they are typically very close to home (especially here in New England).

Keep up the good work on the blog!
