February in the Adirondacks

The streams are all iced over and under several feet of snow but that doesn't mean that we don't get out to enjoy the beauty of the mountains in winter.  Here are some pictures from a recent outing into the Adirondack back-country after some fresh snow.

Awesome images, I am sure we will see you landing brook trout from that stream soon. Thanks for sharing

  3. Nice winter scenes there my friend.
I can't wait to drift flies under the hemlocks.

    1. Thanks Alan - guess we just have to find ways to enjoy the snow while it's here. Spring may be a bit delayed but it is coming!

    1. RI Brook Trout - thank you. The Adirondacks can be beautiful in the winter and in some ways more accessible via skis or snowshoes.

    1. RML - thanks, I like that one too. I want to retake that shot in panoramic mode when the sun is out and it's snowing lightly to give that fuzzy sun type image.

  6. With record lows and too much snow you would think more images of it would be unwelcome but the Adirondacks are beautiful any time. Keep them coming.
